I don't know what to do at this point. I am thinking about making my blog private, but I don't know how.... Do you think that there are more advantages of being private? I need some help here friends. Let me know!!
I did it once and didn't like it at all. There were several reasons why, but it's up to you: It was really hard to get everyone's email addresses; it shows you who has accepted your request to have them view your blog which I didn't like because then I could tell who wasn't reading it and it bugged me because it was the family that I was writing it for so I liked to have the hope that they were reading it (haha lame I know); when someone goes private when they post a new blog sometimes it doesn't show up on the reading list (I don't know if that makes sense), it happened with a couple of my friends, so no one knew when I posted a new one. So those were the main reasons I didn't like it. I couldn't really figure out a good reason for me to be private. It's not like creepy people are looking me up. The only people that know my blog address are people I give it to. I know that was a long explanation, but that was just my experience. I don't think it's a bad thing to go private though, I just know I didn't like it when I did, but it may be totally different for you!
Hi! I go private for two reasons. 1. To block a couple of people for security reasons - who do not need to know about my family (long story). 2. So I can talk about my beliefs (and missionary sons) and know exactly who is reading them. It it easier to be public. When you go private you have to enter all family and friends e-mail addresses. Google sends out an invitation. Those with non-gmail accounts can temporarily view the blog, but after 30 days it blocks them - and then another invitation needs to be sent. It's a pain. Obviously you have to do what is right for you and your family. Hope that helps. Love, LC
If you do... ADD ME!! Rob & I have known each other since middle school, and I would love to meet you!! :D Its fun to keep up with ppl even if you can't see or talk to them on a regulare basis.
